At the beginning of the 20th century at the age of 12, our grandfather Miguel Elias Abed immigrated to Mexico from his homeland Lebanon with his mother in search of a new life. After many years of hard work and dedication, he became a renowned and successful businessman.
Although he was able to establish his life and his family in a foreign country, he never forgot his true heritage. About 30 years after leaving Lebanon, he made a special gift to the capitol, Beirut. The Abed clock is a tower located in the famous Nejhme Square, commemorating his heritage. His Legacy is also instilled in the unique roasting of our coffee and reminds us of the importance of being rooted in our heritage.
